![]() ![]() Shooters who purchase any bolt-action Savage rimfire, including the B.MAG and Rascal, will be eligible for a $25 mail-in rebate. ![]() “This program also includes the popular A17 17 HMR which was voted ‘Rifle of the Year by both NRA American Hunter and Guns & Ammo magazines.” The rebate offers include buying any Savage Arms Trophy Hunter, DOA Hunter, Model 14/114 or Model 16/116 and receive a $75 mail-in rebate or choose any AXIS or A17 synthetic stock and get $30 back. The list of firearms that qualify for this promotion is quite impressive-several of both centerfire and rimfire rifle styles are eligible,” said Savage Firearms Marketing Director Bill Dermody. The “Save on a Savage” rebate program offers customers the opportunity to choose from dozens of firearms and receive cash back. The weight and the weight distribution of the 10T-SR seemed like it'd be fatiguing to carry while hiking 5+ miles.Hunters and shooters can now get the accuracy and dependability they trust from Savage Arms at an even more affordable price. I realize that the Predator is just a little over a pound lighter, but the rifles similar to the 10T-SR seem to be significantly more "nose-heavy". I almost jumped at the 10T-SR at Cabelas, however the weight scared me off.I'd prefer a rifle with at least a medium contour barrel or a fluted heavy barrel. I've looked at the Trophy Hunter, however my shooter friends have warned that the light barrel might be frustrating when practicing out at the range, when I'm firing 8-10 shot strings.I think I'd be happy to shoot those guns, but I think I'd soon want to upgrade, or otherwise resent not spending a bit more. I've looked at the Ruger American Predator and the AXIS II, but they seem feel significantly lighter and cheaper than what the Savage 10 provides. In terms of finding rifles closer to my target budget. ![]()
